Kuruvilla Lukose is appointed CTO of Altair Engg. India

IIT Madras Alumnus, Kuruvilla Lukose (1979 BT CE), is appointed as Chief Technology Officer of Altair Engg. India.

Altair, founded in 1985 and privately held with offices in 14 countries, provides product design consulting, advanced engineering software, and high performance computing technologies, and is the leading provider of high-end, open CAE (Computer Aided Engg.) software solutions for modeling, visualization, optimization and process automation.

Kuruvilla is a veteran of the information technology industry with over 25 years of experience. He worked on software development at Structural Dynamics Research Corporation (SDRC), Ohio, from 1983 to 1993. He served in a technical marketing position at Silicon Graphics (SGI) in India. He was principal consultant, TAFE, and helped it set up its engineering services division. He has also served Strand Genomics as chief information officer.

According to Pavan Kumar, Managing Director - India/Asean, "Its a previlege to have Kuruvilla Lukose on board, his vast experience and technical expertise will be valuable for Altair Engineering".

Before joining Altair Engineering, he was a consultant to the National Institute of Design, Silicon Graphics, and the Aeronautical Development Agency for high-end visualisation and engineering projects.

Kuruvilla received a postgraduate degree from Cornell University and a B.Tech. in Civil Engg. from IIT Madras in 1979.
